Baby updates in real time!

My boss came to me with a proposition today. He wanted to set up a blog on the "Thermal Management of Electronics" so, I decided show him mine. Now, I just deleted all my old blogs and added news of the baby so, I kind of had to tell him the news. He seemed very excited and happy for Danielle and I.

Then I showed him how I can take a picture with my camera phone, send it as a picture message to my blog and have it posted within seconds. He was pretty impressed. My point here is that, you will all have real-time updates when Danielle goes into labor (I know, it's not for a while) and will get to see the pictures of the baby within minutes (not hours or days) of the birth.

Baby's first ultrasound was amazing

Danielle and I went to the doctor yesterday and they performed the first ultrasound. At first I was a little nervous but, as soon a she found the baby and showed us the heartbeat, I nearly cried. In the past, when couples have shown me their ultrasounds I always thought they looked like inkblots. Not this time though.

You can see the baby's little head on the right and its fist in the air. In a sense, its like Nelson Mandela, "I want my freedom!"
