2,3 and 4

Three generations of Raymond Santos all in one place. Raymond Edward's Abuelo (Grandfather) came to visit this weekend. Now my Dad has seven grandchildren; I guess Raymond is lucky number seven!

Well, here's a few pics of all of us yesterday.

Enjoy!

My son, my son...

"My son, my son..."

That's actually my brother-in-law's catch phrase. When my sister Carmen and her husband (Rich) had their first child, Patrick, Rich would walk around saying "my son, my son." At first I thought it was a little crazy but now I know how he felt.

How cute is my son?

First doctor's appointment; A walk in the Arboretum

Raymond Edward had his first visit to the Doctor since we took him home from the hospital and everything looks really good. He's 8 lbs., 4 oz; almost back to his birth weight in only 6 1/2 days. Looks like Mom and bambini are really starting to click on the feeding.

Raymond saw the pediatrician that checked him out at the Brigham and, although he wasn't the original doctor we had chosen, we'll probably stick with him since he's taken such good care of our boy. Since it was such a nice day out and Raymond had a great check-up, we decided to take him out for a little walk at the Arnold Arboretum. I think it did everyone some good since we've all been couped up inside for a week now.

Anyway. Below are a few pics of our day in the park.

Enjoy!

Raymond's first bath at home...

Danielle and I gave Raymond Edward his first bath at home yesterday. I don't think he liked it very much. He spit up a little bit and Daddy left himself exposed for a little squirt from the little squirt.

Let's see how he does in a couple of days.

More Raymond Edward photos...

Well, the last couple of days with Raymond Edward have been fantastic. That doesn't mean there haven't been a few interesting moments. All I can say is that I've changed lot's of diapers and seen substances flow out of every all parts of the baby's body. I've received a ton of phone calls asking for more photos of the boy so, here they are.

Enjoy!

Day 2: The Circumcision

Well, it's day two. Mommy and Raymond Edward are taking a little nap before a 12:00 p.m. Breastfeeding class. Raymond was just circumcised and unfortunately, they wouldn't let me be there with him for support. When they brought him back 40 mins later, we heard and instantly recognized him cry from down the hall.

Considering all of the trauma he's gone through, Raymond is in pretty good sprits.

I've posted some more pictures of the baby on our Flickr account. http://www.flickr.com/photos/daniellenray/

(Hope that link works) Anyway, I need to go back to the room to help Mommy and Raymond get ready for a class. Thank you to everyone for all of the visits, phone calls and text messages so far. Danielle, Raymond and I are all very greatful for the love and support.
