Double the trouble, double the fun...

Teddy visited his buddy Jackson on Sunday and from the looks of this photo, it seems as though they two were up to a bit of mischief. Jackson's mom April, who watched the two while her husband Derek and I could play a quick round of golf, is a complete saint. -Ray http://raymondusantos.blogspot.com/

Touch-A-Truck

So, I took Teddy to Touch-A-Truck over the weekend. At first he really wasn't into them until he figured out that he could honk the horn, and often, on every single truck. The best part about it was that there was nobody to annoy with the honking because the event was filled with little kids Teddy's age all doing the same thing. I wish there was a Touch-A-Truck event every weekend. Here are a few pictures. Enjoy! Ray - http://raymondusantos.blogspot.com/

Everybody says that it goes by so fast/Teddy's 2nd Birthday

From Teddys 2nd Birthday 2009

When you tell somebody you are going to have a baby they always tell you "enjoy it because it goes by so fast," but you don't really know what that means until you actually have a child. Well, I'm happy to report that what they say is, in fact, true. Now that Teddy's 2nd Birthday has come and gone, I've had a little time to reflect on these past two years and nine months have meant to us.

Having a child has been the best thing we have ever done. I remember, just as it were yesterday, from the day the doctor told us we were having a boy to the exact second Teddy came into this world. I remember his first breath, cry and his first look at me, as if to say "OK, this is my Daddy, I think." I remember how traumatic his first bath seemed to Teddy as he screamed and cried. I don't miss the late nights changing and feeding him but, I'd gladly do it again for the reward of that first smile or word.

His first steps were absolutely magical, even if we didn't know what were were in store for now that he could walk. And it seemed as though, as quickly as he learned to walk, he learned to run. There was no stopping that boy.

Teddy's first laughs, first foods, first words (and now sentences and questions) are all permently etched in our hearts with plenty of room for more firsts. I can't wait for what is next. -Ray http://raymondusantos.blogspot.com/
